How to Care for Your Investment

Kenwood Tile & Stone offers a full line of cleaning & protecting products from DuPont, which are available to you in our warehouse.

Ceramic & Porcelain Tile-

Everyday Cleaning  (StoneTech® Professional Stone & Tile Cleaner):

  • Be sure surface/s are free of all loose debris.
  •  Apply mixed solution (2 oz.- Stone & Tile Cleaner to 1 gal. water) with a mop or sponge.
  • Clean entire area with mop, changing water often to ensure that soil is not redeposited-rinse.  Let area dry before using.

Natural Stone Tile:

  •  All stone products are porous and should be sealed one time annually with a penetrating stone sealer (StoneTech® Professional Sealer).
  •  Although sealed, spills can still penetrate the stone if left unattended.  Spills should be wiped or rinsed away as soon as possible.

 Cleaning  (StoneTech® Professional Revitalizer® Cleaner and Protector):

  • Be sure surface/s are free of all loose debris.
  • Apply mixed solution (1 part Revitalizer® to 4 parts water) with a mop, towel, sponge or sprayer.
  • Rub surface lightly and remove any excess cleaner. No need to rinse.
  • Repeat if necessary for heavily soiled areas.
  • Let area dry before using.

Glass Tile:

  • Normal cleaning of glass mosaic tile can be done with room temperature water and a rag.  A non-abrasive cleaner that is recommended for glass (i.e. Windex) can also be used.
